Say Yes to New Techniques

I wonder, why students are petrified of the Reading module.

Actually, the students are taking it as a task they have to do on a regular basis; however, it should be taken as a leisure activity. If we incorporate reading into our day-to-day life, it will become an achievable task for all learners.

Let us try to accomplish this arduous task. Primarily, we need to develop a habit of reading at least 2-3 pages a day. And, for this, we can use Cambridge Academic book number 5,6,7,8. Besides this, we can also read newspapers as there are a plethora of articles, that too on a variety of topics: sports, crime, health, technology, environment, etcetera. Simply, an article or two a day can develop your keen interest in the Reading module. The more interest in Reading, the better the scores.

There are two prominent aspects of IELTS Reading: Understanding and Vocabulary. Now, in order to understand the context of any reading passage or article, you need to have knowledge of the meanings of difficult words. This will not only ameliorate your BAND score in Reading but also in the writing module. So, all you need to do is to devote 15 minutes daily to reading two short articles of around 250 words each or 1 long reading passage from Cambridge books and jot down the meanings of difficult words in a separate notebook. Make sure you revise the word meanings on a regular basis as these words will get repeated soon in the coming reading passages.

This is all you need to do to improve your IELTS Reading BAND scores.

 HAPPY LEARNING…
